The latest executive exchange on "Understanding China's Healthcare Reform: Policy and Effect " was held on September 21 in Beijing with Mr.Lei Haichao(雷海潮), Division Chief of Policy Research Office, Department of Health Policy and Regulation, Ministry of Health of People's Republic of China and Mr. Li Xin(李欣), Senior Supervisor of the China Quality Certification Center for Medical Devices (CMDC), currently Hua Guang Certification of Medical Devices Co., Ltd. as speakers. This executive exchange addressed the latest views and thinking on the effect and policy of China's Healthcare Reform. Attendees were able to use this opportunity to gain insights into topics that help drive their potential investment decisions in China. Mr.Lei Haichao(雷海潮)
Division Chief of Policy Research Office, Department of Health Policy and Regulation, Ministry of Health of People's Republic of China
Mr. Lei graduated from Shanghai Medical University, Institute of Public Health, and attained both PhDs in Social Medical Science and Health Management. He subsequently served as a professor and mentor of Health Management at Capital Medical University and Shandong University. Concurrently, he was a member of the Scientific Steering Committee of the Health and Human Resources Policy Research Department at the World Health Organization and as a consultant of both China's institutional reform and public rural health research reform at the World Bank. He has taken many additional posts including as Medical Equipment Regulation Expert at the Department of Health, Executive Director and the Deputy Secretary-General of the China Medical Equipment Association, Executive Director in the Insurance Institute of China's Social Health Insurance Organization and the Beijing Hospital Association, Vice President of the Health Economics Institute. He is also a member of the Asia-Pacific Health Economics Network (APHEN), International Health Policy and the Systems Research Alliance (AHPSR). The range of his research covers the development of health reform policy, health resource allocation theory and methods, pharmacoeconomics and health insurance, disease prevention and treatment of socio-economic analysis and reform of hospital management.
Mr. Li Xin (李欣)
Senior Supervisor of the China Quality Certification Center for Medical Devices (CMDC), currently Hua Guang Certification of Medical Devices Co., Ltd.
Mr.Li graduated from Zhejiang University. He served in the China Association for Medical Devices Industry (CAMDI) as the Director of the Information Consulting Department. During this time he was in charge of the administrative examination and approval of the Medical Device Registration in the State Food and Drug Administration, as well as Department Director of the China National Medical Equipment Industry Corporation (CMIC). He has 12 years experience in the medical devices industry and has deep understanding of the current landscape of the China medical devices market, industry regulation, government procurement and in-depth knowledge of key industry players.
