The Chinese Macro Economy in 2010 and Beyond
On March 12th, another executive exchange on "The Chinese Macro Economy in 2010 and Beyond" was held in Beijing with Mr. Ming Cong (丛明), Deputy Director General of Department of Macro-economic research, and Mr. Xian Zhou, Director-General, General Office, National Bureau of Energy. This executive exchange addressed the latest views and thinking on China’s property tax and future trends of interest rate, exchange rate and fiscal/ tax polices. Attendees not only gained deep insights from the speech, but also shared their concerns through discussion.

Dr. Cong is an eminent economist of the Chinese Entrepreneurs in Management Thought International Club (CEMTIC). Standing Director of the Chinese Finance Society and China Tax Society, Trustee Council Member of the Chinese Economic and Social Research Society of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Guest Professor at Jinan University, Guest Professor at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Member of the Committee of Chinese Economic Reform and Development Institute of Academic Committee at Renmin University.
Mr. Xian Zhou
Director-General, General Office, National Bureau of Energy
Prior to current position in National Bureau of Energy, Mr. Zhou worked at Department of Policy Studies in National Development and Reform Commission for a long time and actively involved in macro economy policies planning. Currently, Mr. Zhou works on general energy policies in state level and related tax policies. Meanwhile, as person-in-charge of Office of the National Energy Commission, Mr. Zhou leads collaboration among Department of Electric Power, Coal, Nuclear Energy and New Energy.
